It seems like Gmail's upped their quota to 50. Whee!!! Gmail for everyone!!
Seriously, though, Gmail's fun. I use it for everything. Somehow it has taken over my life, and is plotting to take over more (for example, look for articles like "using gmail to keep a personal journal" or "using gmail to map your life"). It's out of hand. :)
What is it about gmail that's so much better, though? I barely even use my venerable old yahoo account anymore, everyone knows that i'd rather get their mail at my gmail account. the yahoo's just for newsletters now.
People who tried to register earlier and who were asked to be notified are now receiving notices that Gmail is now available to them. Looks like they're finally launching for everybody.
I have a Ph.D. in English. My dissertation was on the "digitzed word." I'm fascinated by the revolutionary consequences of computer technology.
