Freecycle.com -- giving and getting free stuff

What a great idea. Need to get rid of some old stuff. Give it away on Freecycle. Or maybe you'll find something you want or need. Go to the Freecycle site and use the menu at left to find the exchange group in your area.

Google's new program searches hard drives

Finally, it will be as easy to search the contents of your own hard drive as it is to search Google. In fact, when you do a Google search, it will also return a section of results from your own computer.

Clusty is a new search engine that helpfully clusters your search results.

Also, be sure to spend some time checking out Amazon's newA9 search engine. It has a range of unique features. Your search results are divided into vertical panes and include web results, images, books, and more. The Diary feature lets you take notes on a web page and see them whenever you visit that page.
